ergo® 4205 – special grade for the sealing of conical or cylindrical pipe threads e.g. Withworth threads according to DIN 2999 up to 3 inches. Product gives flexible film with a breaking elongation of more than 100%. The PTFE powder content lowers friction when fitting. Initial strength after: 15 to 30 minutes Functional strength after: 1 to 3 hours Final strength after: ~ 12 hours The use of ergo® 4205 is not recommended for threads, cut in copper or copper alloys, which have contact with hot water (>40°C), without any preliminary testing.
